Computers and Information Technology have become all pervasive. In some way or the other they are effecting our lives, and changing the way we used to conduct our daily lives or business. The most important aspect of computer science is problem solving, an essential skill for life. Students study the design, development and analysis of software and hardware used to solve problems in a variety of business, scientific and social contexts. Recent developments in our country has shown that every one of us need to have digital competency. There is no denying the fact that the reach of computer science is extensive. Nowadays it is almost impossible to envision communication without the advances that computing sciences have made.

Consequently, we have huge opportunities for the computer scientists, software professionals and system analysts in the different fields, as the world is facing huge demand-supply gap for competent technical manpower.

The School of Computing Sciences (SCS) at Kaziranga University in its own small way is making sincere effort to try and bridge the demand-supply gap between the industry requirements and the teaching-learning process in the classrooms by balancing rigorous academic course work with enriching real world practice.

To keep students abreast with emerging cutting edge technologies and enhancing the ‘employability quotient’ of the students, School of Computing Sciences has entered into active collaboration with iNurture Education Solutions, one of the pioneering organizations in enabling career-ready formal higher education in India.

Helping students give shape to their dreams in the sphere of computing sciences is the overall vision and long-term mission of the School of Computing Sciences. I look forward to your visit here on the KU campus. Meet the individuals who make KU's SCS such a special and enduring place. Join the community and be a part of the exhilarating journey.
