Kaziranga University SCS students presented papers at the ‘National Conference on Advances in Science Engineering and Technology’ – ASET’17 on the 10th and 11th of November 2017.

 

The ‘National Conference on Advances in Science Engineering and Technology’ – ASET’17 was hosted by the Girijananda Chowdhury Institute Of Management and Technology on the 10th and 11th of November. It was an extremely impressive and inspiring technical conference. This conference targeted many emerging topics related to engineering and Information and communication technology. The objective of this national conference was to provide an opportunity for researchers, academicians, and students to interact and exchange their ideas, experience and views in the current trend.

There were submissions of many high quality papers in all areas of engineering, maths and information and communication technology. The chief guests for the event were Prof. D.K. Bhattacharya – Professor Tezpur University. The guest of honour was Dr. Pankaj Barua, Director of NERIWALM, Tezpur and the program chair for the event was Prof. R.C Goswami, Principal – GIMT Tezpur. The keynote speaker for the event was, Mr. John Jose – Assistant Professor, CSE - IIT Guwahati who gave great insight on Smart technology.

Six students of the School of Computing Science (SCS) of Kaziranga University participated and presented their papers in this national conference. They presented technical review papers on the field of Big Data and speech recognition trough various techniques.

  4. Deepjyoti Saikia – “A Review on Models Speaker recognition with respect to Assamese Language” 
  5. Porishmita Dutta and Salma Sultana Rahman – “A study: on Big Data Implementation and its Challenges”

These papers were written under guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Purnendu Bikash Acharjee, who helped the students in their path of research.
