Prachi Sureka, B.Tech CSE 6th Semester student, has been selected for a 2 month-internship at the Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Kalyani, West Bengal under the supervision of Dr. Uma Das. She will work on the DST SERB project "Reanalysis dataset obtained for middle atmospheric temperatures to extract the various wave components including tides, stationary planetary waves, and traveling planetary waves" and will be paid a stipend of Rs. 5000 per month during the internship period.

Prior to this, Prachi has also completed an internship at the Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati on Statistical Analysis of Trends in the rainfall patterns over India and North-Eastern India.
