Operation Theater Technologist understands the ethical issues, the layout of operation theater as well as efficient handling of the equipment related to the operation. They provide help to surgeons, specialist, anesthesiologists, and nurses. The primary responsibility of operation theater technologist is to help doctors in surgery, masterminding surgical instruments, cleaning instruments before and after surgery, obeying surgeons order amidst surgery or crisis strategies and dealing with anesthesia equipment. They also know to maintain sterility of operation theater. Operation Theater Technologists are required across all hospitals who conduct surgeries such as General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, etc. and an integral part in the smooth functioning of ICUs, CCUs and OT's in hospitals and clinic. There has been a substantial rise in the need for qualified and trained professionals in the health care system.
