Celebrating Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav - Cultural Program organized by Art and Culture Club, KU

On August 13, 2022, Art and Culture Club of the Assam Kaziranga University hosted a cultural event to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence (Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav), with unprecedented patriotic fervor. The cultural event was inaugurated with the auspicious lamp lightening ceremony in presence  of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Schools, and faculties of the university. The event was anchored by Dolly Devi and Diya Devi of School of Social Sciences. The event began with a  mesmerizing patriotic dance by Megha Chetry of School of Health Sciences on the song 'Teri Mitti'  followed by a group song by the students of School of Social Sciences and School of Health Sciences.  The famous Assamese patriotic poem 'Mur Dekh' recited by Minakhi Borah and patriotic dance on Assamese patriotic song by Bishmita Baruah of School of Health Sciences, captured the attention of audiences.

The program continued with the performance of 'Bharat Humko Jaan se pyara Hain' by Dhruvadeep Pahadi and Aradhana Baruah of School of Social Sciences, Debjani Accharya of School of Engineering and Technology, and Siddarth Deori of School of Basic Sciences.  The melody of their song reflected their love for the motherland.  The self scripted drama 'Mukha' by Amantika Bora, School of Social Sciences, captivated and entertained the audiences with the outstanding performance of the entire group,  leaving a deep message to the audience.  With  a deep sense of pride,  the National Anthem was sung by one and all present at the event which evoked the feeling of patriotism. The event came to an end with a vote of thanks by Dr. Saurabhi Sarmah,  Associate professor of School of Social Sciences and Cultural Officer, The Assam Kaziranga University.
