As part of IBM Innovation Centre for Education program (IBM ICE), two workshops were held by IBM Subject Matter Experts on Cloud and Business Analytics, on 9th and 19th March 2018 respectively at Kaziranga University, which were attended by all 4th semester students in CSE, ECE and EE departments. The workshop on Cloud Computing, conducted by Mr Senthil Kumar, provided hands on experience in Type 2 Virtualization using ESXi Server 6.5, Installation and configuration of KVM, VPN and VLAN in virtualized environment. The BA workshop was conducted by Mr Kaushik Banerjee of IBM Kolkata who focused on Data Warehouse, ETL and Business Intelligence concepts, where students got a good understanding of tools such as Informatica, SAP BO and IBM Watson Analytics. The IBM Subject Matter Experts also had meaningful faculty interaction that would help KU to further strengthen the IBM ICE program going forward.
