Dr. Braja S. Mishra, Professor, and Dean, School of Social Sciences of Kaziranga University participated in the 7th Wetland Link International-Asia Conference and shared his experience among various delegates across the globe. The conference was held on 2nd Dec 2019 at the International Conference Hall of Taipei Zoo, Taiwan.

The inaugural sessions were addressed by the Dy Minister, Ministry of Environment, Govt. of Taiwan, Director of Environment, Director of Taipei Zoo and Deputy Mayor of Taipei City Government. There are about 90 delegates from almost all Asian countries, Europe and the USA participating in the conference. There are two delegates from India - Dr. Braja S. Mishra from The Assam Kaziranga University and Dr. Ashok Verma, Biodiversity Expert from Bharatpur National Park. Delegates from each country were given the opportunity to share their experiences on wetland conservation, knowledge & research in their respective areas along with discussion how national and global collaboration can further strengthen this field.

In the conference, Dr. Braja S. Mishra spoke about how he is mentoring a group of amateur conservationists in protecting and promoting the wetlands and mangroves in the Bhitarkanika National Park of Odisha.
