School of engineering organized IBM ICE Day at Kaziranga University

School of Engineering and Technology (SET), The Assam Kaziranga University organized IBM ICE Day on November 23, 2019. The objective of the program is to highlight the talent of KU-IBM students (CSE, ECE, EE students) through the paper presentation, Hackathon and projects. The projects were related to the latest disruptive technologies such as Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data and Sentiment analysis in IBM Cloud and IBM Watson studio platform. The program was inaugurated by the Registrar, Kaziranga University Professor Tarun Kumar and Dean SET Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma and coordinated by Dr. Sajal Saha, Associate professor, CSE department.

The welcome address was delivered by the Dean of SET, Professor Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma where Dr. Sharma had extended his greetings to the Registrar, Deans of various Schools, guests from IBM, students and faculty members. The Honourable Registrar of KU had delivered a speech on "The recent innovations in the IT world" highlighting the importance of technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and the Internet of Things in the present-day context.

In the same event, IBM Delivery Head Mr. Viqaruddin Sukri appreciated the students for the successful completion of 7th semester Minor Projects. This was followed by the presentation of projects in the SOB Auditorium. All the 25 projects were evaluated by Mr. Manjit Singh Sodhi in the presence of internal guides from the CSE department
