BTech Mechanical Engineering VII Semester underwent a short training programme at Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)

27 students of BTech Mechanical Engineering VII Semester underwent a short training programme at Condition Monitoring Center of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) on 01 Nov 19. They were exposed to an array of equipment and techniques used for recording and analyzing machinery vibration signatures as a Predictive Maintenance Tool. This technology is fast gaining importance, particularly in the context of increased levels of automation and machine intelligence as part of Industry 4.0. In response to such a requirement of the Industry, students are being trained in Vibration and Analysis and Predictive Maintenance in the University and this training at NRL provided valuable practical inputs thereby effectively complementing classroom instructions.

Officials and Condition Monitoring experts at NRL were very enthusiastic about the training and went out of their way to help students learn and assimilate practical elements of the subject in a short period of time. We owe them a big thanks and look forward to continued fruitful interactions.
